As Winter draws in Barracudas aren’t slowing down, they are in fact gearing up for their Winter Tour Schedule which they kicked off in style with Kendal Torchlight on Saturday 13th September, more dates to follow!
Workshops
As well as the new Winter Tour, Barracudas Carnival Centre stays open all year round, hosting a plethora of free workshops.
Not only do we have our weekly Thursday sessions where we practice stilts, dance and music, but we also hold weekly Music Workshops for our new Young People’s Band. Anyone aged between 5-18yrs can come along and try saxophone, drumming and persussion guided by our professional tutors:
Tuesdays: 4pm-5pm Beginners Saxophone, drumming and percussion- ages 5-11
Tuesdays: 5pm-6pm Intermediate Saxophone, drumming and percussion- ages 11-18
Please come along and have a go, whatever your musical ability, there is something for everyone.
There is also an exciting opportunity for two 16-25 yr olds as we seek to find two Music Trainees.
These trainees are to be led by our professional tutors, to not only hone their own skills in performance and composition but also to help teach others in the Young People’s Band.
